Dance movement psychotherapy is a form of psychotherapy where we use movement and dance to make sense of and express feelings and thoughts. It is a space to re-member your connection with your body, find out what you need to heal and thrive, to express yourself fully and to explore creative solutions. 
Why choose DMT?

Do I need to be able to dance to do DMT?
You donít need any particular dance or movement experience to do DMT. Neither do you have to be able-bodied or physically fit. DMT works very well with people of all ages and abilities because it is about the way it feels to move a particular way. 

What sort of music and dancing is involved?
We don't use a particular style such as ballet or hip hop in DMT, rather we use whatever movement style you are most comfortable with, for example, it might depend on what music you like or your previous movement experience.

Do I dance the whole time in a session or can I talk aswell?
Some people like to move and dance a lot in a session and some prefer to talk a lot and move a little. The way a session takes shape is basically up to you.

How long does a session last?
Individual sessions usually last 1 hour to 90 minutes and group sessions last 60 to 90 minutes.
